How dare you miss some of the best bars in Fo Co! I was very disappointed in your blog “sarahr88.” I do like your pictures though. They are very classy and your writing style entertained me. Also, where do I sign up for this “Bingo night?”

I really love the lyric, except I always tell people to get to their movies really early to get the couches, otherwise the other chairs are really uncomfortable. Its a good chance to see movies that you couldn’t get at the major theaters.

Thanks for the information on the Drive in theater. I live nearby it and have wanted to go to it for a while now. I did not realize they showed double features. When it opens up for the season I will definitely go. Will bring lots of candy too!

Wow. I also didn’t know that there was a hot air balloon company in Fort Collins. That’s definitely pretty cool and maybe I will go on a trip sometime, if I’m still in the area. I agree that it would be pretty cool to hear the stories and to see an even more amazing view of the Rocky Mountains. Your blog is really interesting; and I look forward to finding out what else you find out about Fo Co from investigation.

If there is one thing I love about Fort Collins, it is the food. Anytime I have friends coming up here we always go to a new restaurant. I usually categorize them in “culture” groups: where the best Indian food is for example. One restaurant I think you should definitely try is the Nyala Ethiopian Restaurant on Harvard right off of S. College. There’s just something wonderful about eating with no utensils. Oh and don’t get me started on the whole grain pancakes at the Rainbow — by far my favorite breakfast place in town. I must say that you have good taste!

I like how your list has good local joints. (I would have left off Qudoba, and Jimmy Johns because they are chains, even though they have really good food.) Some others that I thought of were the Coopersmiths Pub down in Old Town (nice brewpub with decent beer) and the burgers rock. I also really like La Luz and Cafe Mexicali for Mexican. Fort Collins has a ton of good restaurants so this was definitely a good choice to blog about.

I agree, The Rainbow is amazing. I usually only go with a certain friend because she is a vegetarian and they have some really good vegetarian food, but I like it a lot. Unfortunately, I have never been to the Farmers Market. Then again, I don’t typically get up in time to eat breakfast so I don’t know if that could be part of it. The Egg and I is also a pretty good place too!

I would like to add two more restaurants that are relatively new in Fort Collins. If you want a good meal within a short distance to campus, there is McAlister’s Deli on college north of pitkin. They have really good sandwiches (deli style), soups, and their sweet tea and lemonade are delicious. By far this is one of my favorite “quick” places to eat. The other restaurant I now love is Five Guys where they specialize in burgers and fries, and I do mean specialize. The wait is a little long and the grease is much, but it is definitely worth it.

FC MOCA is also pretty involved generating noise for local artists. They’ve hosted a couple of fashion shows that have raised money for various causes, and have been involved in other fundraising activities for the community. Pretty cool organization, promoting the arts around Fort Collins. Neat art most of the time, too!

This sounds like alot of fun. Like i have said before, since i am new here i do not know all the things to do. I will have to put this on my list of things to expereince while in Fort Collins. I think it might be a while before i jump into the Poudre because i fished it last weekend, and it was COLD!
